Brought my Xperia xz this January. In last week I have spotted a orange smudge in the top left corner. I have see older posts with older phones this could be caused by the case being to tight, the type of tape Sony used on back of screen. Or the simplest one I must of hit the screen while in my pocket. I was wondering if there was a fix I could do or where the phone is still in warranty. If it was something Sony would fix or replace. This phone is our only phone in the house so really need it. Thanks in advance
Hi @Noodles100, I am very sorry to hear about that.
When it comes to physical damage as in this case, I am sorry to say that there is not much I can recommend you to do aside from having it sent in to an authorized service center. Unfortunately it is not possible for me to judge if this is a warranty case or not, as the device first has to be examined by a technician before a decision can be made.
In order to have it sent in, I advice that you get in touch with your Local support so that they may assist you, as they are well informed with your local service routines, warranty terms and local consumer laws!
This happens by itself. Maybe or probably you haven't done anything wrong. It's due to the glue. You'll get a new display. But it's unbelievable that Sony still hasn't fix this issue, it's a problem like forever.
It actually looks like pressure from the rear.
Glue discolouration doesn't look localised like this.
I'd contact Local support and get it looked at.
its also can be damage from heat ( i saw at youtube AT jerryrigeverthing)
