Well it depends on what type of case are you looking for. Flip, hard case,TPU one etc...

Whenever I get a new phone, I have my list of usual suspects ai, brands I look at :

UAG (probably won't be available for XZP)

Ringke - decent protective case

Cruzerlite - Bugdroid design is not for everyone, but TPU is of very good quality - this one is available

Spigen - don't know if they'll have one for XZP

And then you have always ready Chinese brands, like Imak, Nillkin etc.

I would stay away from :

-hard cases (skin is thinner and protects the same, ai , no protection)

-thin TPU cases (they will stretch in no time)

Didn't help much, but at least you have a few search terms to input, and links will just pile up Slightly_smiling_Face

Some advice:

- mostly AliExpress is your cheap friend. They don't seem to have a rich choice yet.

- patience is another friend

Consider

- probably XZP has magnetic induced opening of the screen.

- XZP doesn't have DTTW (double tap to wake)

- you will be astonished by the merits of magnetic (=like magic) opening.

- buy a cover with magnetic opening (a Sony cover) or build a little magnet on the right spot in your cheap cover from China.

Personally I was always a big fan of the "Devilcase" bumper cases.

Been using them on my Z3 and my X.

Earlier this year I replaced the Devilcase on the X with the "Ghostek Covert" bumper case,

because I wanted a "clear" case to see the design of the phone and not make it look even bigger.

Until now, both of them don't offer cases for the XZP, but I'm pretty sure that at least Devilcase

will come up with one very soon. They already start offering glass protectors and lense protectors

for the XZP, so I guess it's just a matter of time until they come up with a nice looking aluminium

bumper case. http://www.twdevilcase.com/en/index.php?menu=prod_list&mid=21&did=105

The Ghostek Covert is, as I said above, just available for the X at the moment:

but I could imagine that a clear cover like this would be a nice addition to the XZP because it

doesn't hide the design of the phone and it would protect from fingerprints on the back. Winking_Face

Hello @XperiaGIF,

I'm very happy with the new Xperia XZ P Style Cover Stand (SCSG10) which they've released with the phone... but would really like to see an equivalent to the former Style Cover Window (SCR46) which was available for the Z5 P. The texture  / feel of the new one is better, the 'stand' capability is useful, but I miss the additional 'Window' functionality.

If you prefer a leather option, then although not available yet, I'd expect there will be offerings form both Krussell and Piel Frama in due course.

Regards,

Kevin

I always buy Ringke "fusion" cases. They have double mesh: hard on the back and softer on the sides.

Plus: they have a tiny hole for the lanyard, if you like it,
