Double Tap to Wake/Sleep.....Where are you????

Upgraded to a XZ Premium from using a Z5 Premium previously. While the XZ P is a staggering device.....I realized the XZ Premium doesn't have the awesome double tap feature to wake up or put the device back to sleep. 

Why is this feature missing.... Will this feature come back on the XZ P?? 

Are there any plans for an update to reinstate this feature?

IMO, the feature was removed because of the problems it had on the previous Xperias. maybe they are palnning to bring it back on future updates when it gets fixed/

from Youtube reviews it looks like there is double tap to sleep (NOT wake). when you're on your homescreen long press the wallpaper, choose Settings and toggle "double tap to sleep" on.

Not sure why I have read about this feature being built in but it is NOT on mine purchased from the UK. However, I do use Nova Prime and Nova has the ability to do double tap to lock and it works great. Better than nothing.

I feel like this feature is almost mandatory for the US Model as there is no fingerprint reader either.  Any chance this is being added?  I just got my XZ Premium with a solid bundle deal that included the MDR-1000X for 200 dollars which was a steal.  I have a business trip next week where I'll be spending 12 hours in airports/in the air and looking forward to playing with this.
