I have now an X Compact black and the lucid plastic used for it is the same ofthe two lateral sides of XZ Premium. Objectively, is a good material, has its benefits for cellular waves but it is clearly that feels not premium as metal when hold it. However the build quality is superb.
Again, I like so much the design of XZ Premium, bezels are useful when holding the device landscape and to have inside the stereo speakers.
What disappoint me is the calibration of the display. As showed into PhoneArena.com review, the color chart is worse compared to XZ and X Compact ones, especially the white point. XZ and X Compact match so much the DCI-P3 standard while XZ Premium matches it less. I hoping a better calibration for the premium standard od the display and device. And the display is more and more important compared to materials used.

Which preset were they using.
Xzp can change the display gamut to suit different needs.
I found the display VERY good

You know higher resolution doesn't mean that you have a better display!
The Quality of PANEL and technology behind it is much much important than higher resolution !
a Full HD display with MICRO-LED technology have much better picture Quality and deeper black than a 4k IPS LCD ...
XZP display have a low CONTRAST (1238:1) THAT IS not acceptable for a phone or even a TV

Respect is the Key
Respect is the name of the game. You must respect your fellow members. Please refrain from inflammatory and defamatory comments as well as flaming, taunting and general disrespect. Do not make uninvited remarks about typos, duplicate posts, posting styles, etc. This is not the place to aggressively pursue attacks and accusations on one's chosen style or background. We all have different opinions and different backgrounds.
When an opinion based discussion is being had, do not state things like "there is no argument" as if your opinion is the only one or the only one that matters. When someone has clearly stated their opinion, do not say things like "Are you serious?" and "Are you kidding me?" Remember, this is not a debate club. This is a friendly discussion community. Allow people to have their opinion. No one is to act as some sort of opinion judge, responding to each one to say whether they agree with it or not or whether or not it is a valid, well thought out opinion.

Your point is only valid if you see the display as a mistake.
Imo, having seen one in person and used it, is that it is a very nice, vibrant and clear panel.
I do agree though, that if I need to spend my life with a phone looking at contrast charts, this panel is not suitable, luckily though, I use it for normal use and in normal use, it is VERY capable.
@Viridis
Probably I don't explain myself well.
All X series is intended to use the DCI-P3 color chart that is the best and used for movie. What I wanted to notice is the grade of match to this standard.
Comparing color chart (PhoneArena.com) of X Compact, XZ and XZ Premium, the last matches less of three the DCI-P3 standard (triangle). This is particolar evident for magenta. Additionally, the white point is far away from is might be. XZ and XC match better the standard triangle DCI-P3.
I hoped an excellent color calibration from this superb panel.
I hope now it is more clear.
To view directly what I intend, go to PhoneArena XZP review and see the color charts.

I will, thanks for the information
I'd rather keep this thread on topic, but will comment the display color options here.
@Alessio_84 I think you're referring to this review but when I read the graphs I don't see it say that XZ Premium colors are generally worse than XZ colors. I'm not a color expert, what did I miss?
The article however says "three display presets that you can choose from ... the third is meant to present you with the most realistic colors" and "you can adjust the white balance ... and completely get rid of any unwanted tints".
When looking at the detailed display review it's also valid to remember the initial statement: "it's hard to find something not to like about it." I think that puts a perspective on things, especially the strictly technical graphs you need to interpret yourself.
As @Viridis mentions it would be interesting to know which preset they chose for the benchmark test, and they didn't say. The default setting is not aiming mainly for color accuracy, but for a good user experience. For those that want accuracy, try the "professional mode", and perhaps adding manual preference to that.
@JensG
Exactly, I refer to the review you linked. I don't know if you added in color chart section the XZ graph and saw the little differences. I report here the Standard DCI-P3 chart and the XZ and XZP ones to compare directly. The XZP compared is the Standard display option.
I highligth, its an excellent display but less calibrated respect XZ/XC ones, especially magenta and white point (bluish).
The white balance can't be adjusted without a calibration tool (colorimeter); so the sliders are completely not useful for users. Finally the graphs are not under personal interpretation because data are data.
Again, the display is excellent, but not excellent calibrated in term of temperature (cold) and some colors from the standard that it was intended to match.
A display with 1238:1 contrast and uncalibrated colors is EXCELLENT in your mind ? Why?
