Xperia Z2 update failure (failed to parse installer XML (code 11))

I've tried to erase Sony Bridge for Mac and reinstall and it still shows up with 

I've quickly scanned google and the forums and no one seems to have an answer?? This really isn't good enough.  I hope I can get an answer as to how to do this here.

I am getting the same error trying to update on MAC OSX 10.9.4 why can't this update be done OTA over WiFi like other handsets?

I'm getting this too. It looks like the app is requesting the following update url:

http://software.sonymobile.com/install_pack/xml/omsi_macosx_targetinstaller.xml

The server responds with a 200 (ok) response code, when it should be a 300 (redirect) response. There's even a Location: header. So the app doesn't follow the redirect, and simply errors.

Stupidly, the title of the page is even "302 Found"!

I completed the update on a friends windows 7 machine OK but can't see much difference, 

Anyone have release notes?

It has a couple bug fixes, notifications are a little louder, low battery standby time is increased.

That's as far as I know.

What I did was I uninstalled the my Bridge for Mac and went to the Sony website to download it again. And surprisingly it worked.
