xperia z2 unlock boot loader help needed

Hello! So I wanted to flash CM11 ROM on my z2 but I cannot unlock its boot loader. I tried to follow the instructions from Sony developer world but the instructions were kind of confusing. I'm not that fluent at tech so I need some help!

The instructions told me to use a command window and type in commands like 'fastboot devices' but my command window just does nothing. Has anyone done this before? Can you help me? Sony's website stated that I can use Mac OS to unlock it.

I tried other websites too like XDA but I failed every time I don't know why. My Z2 would enter fastboot mode with the blue LED notif light but it doesn't seem to respond to my computer's commands...

Are you able to unlock your bootloader 1st - Dial *#*#7378423#*#* then open Service info then configuration at check the bottom line if it says No then you can't unlock

1st thing you need to do is request your unique bootloader unlock key http://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/unlock-yourboot-loader/

Dude I have the key and everything already. I read everything on the developer website. The problem is I do not understand their instructions like open a command window and then go to a folder and then go to platform tools folder and type in "fast boot devices". My terminal just does nothing

It's much easier to download and install Flashtools then run the program and click on BLU and connect your phone whilst switched off by holding volume down and connect your USB cable then follow the instructions

Is there a link to a tutorial is can follow? Some of them might not work for my Z2 as it has the latest firmware

This may help here or if you really want to unlock your bootloader then yes it's from the Z1 but it's the same method for all Xperia phones see here and look for in the 1st post [ how to unlock ] (official way)

It doesn't work. My firmware is too recent
