Xperia TX On Screen Home Button

the ON-SCREEN HOME BUTTON of my Xperia TX isn't responding AT ALL!

Pleaaaaaaase help

Force restart (power button and volume up at the same time until the device vibrates).

I have already tried it

It ain't working still

I also tried repairing my Phone using PC Companion so please suggest something else I can do

What if i try factory reset AFTER BACKING UP?

A software repair is much better but you have already done it.

I have found that when i rotate the screen towards the top horizontally, the home button works perfectly

But when it is at the bottom of the screen vertically it doesnt work

But on the lock screen when i swipe to unlock, that same particular area responds to the touch

In the light of this new circumstance please suggest something

This is very unusual, if the touch point is working then the home button should work. Anyway try this download Xperia diagnostics from play store and diagnose you phone and see everything is working good. If everything is ok then I've no idea about your problem. You should then stop by a Sony service center I guess.
