Dear All
i have bought my Z5 permuim , 2 weeks ago , and snice this date it restart twice daily while calling, browsing and apping, can i get some help or advice concering that, is that hard ware or soft ware problme
thanks
@uliwooly
Without SD card it now boots up without any problems. However I am now considering wiping the memory card clean and insterting it back in and hopefully this problem won't occur again.
However, my phone still managed to crush while I was browsing Settings and gettting rid of apps I don't need and had to reboot but didn't go into the rebooting cycle
Thank you for your help thus far!
@uliwooly
Just tried it with an empty memory card and it boots up no problem and works very well
Still don't know how careful should I be filling the card up with files and if it's gonna affect it the same way.
But there is still a chance that my phone can crush from anything which it might not like for some reason, so I'm hoping for a new, more stable update to roll out soon.
@uliwooly
I don't think so
It's been working perfectly all this time and I only had this issue since the Marshmallow update
I think I just treashed it way too much. Gotta fill up those 128GB you know.
I messed up with the memory card I guess, but the Marshamallow is far far from perfect anyway
Hi @Nero978Devil,
Welcome to the community.
I believe there could be some process or app that is stored on the SD card and trying to load but cannot. If I recall correctly, I believe Android M changed the way SD card storage is handled, which could be why you're having this issue. It could also be that there is data from an app on the SD card that was compatible with Android L but is not compatible with Android N.
Whatever the case, back up your SD card to a computer, then re-format it. Test it before you restore any of your backed up content just incase the cause of issue persists in the back up.
Hi @Nicholastopping,
I would say the issue you are experiencing is different to Nero's as theirs is caused by the SD Card.
Can you please hold the power button and the volume up button until your phone vibrates 3 times, then attempt to turn it back on?
