Rear camera scrambled screen

Camera screen is scrambled with blue and violet stripes.
All settings are available but the photo is identical to the preview screen.
Switching to front camera everything seems to be fine.

I have cleared the cache and restarted with and without safe mode many times.

did you try Xperia Diagnostics to see if there is a hardware problem?

did you recently updated? or modified the software?

Nothing changed, the error appears over night

I have just found many reports on black screens which sometimes could be recovered by deleting the cache.

The error starts with a split screen in camera modus, one half green overlay.
