hello
sony, can you please explain, and can others confirm
if i browse "images" in the google chrome browser, and then i select a image and long press on the image and select "share image"
and then select messaging.
it then exports the image into the messaging program, however i try to send it it comes up with message at the top "protected file. cannot send"
sony please dont tell me that you have incoperated some kind of "copyright" , so you cant share images.?
or is it a setting, because i should count not find it.
this is the only phone i have come across that has this restriction.
That's rather odd, I was able to replicate this, I use Google Messenger but I'll escalate this.
you can install firefox, but that doesnt change anything.
funny thing is that you can "share" the image to a email app without issues. you can also do the long way around, by saving the image and then opening the image and attaching it, or manually attaching the saved image in messaging.
also can someone tell me, is there a way of either disabling or editing that contact list (my guess its recents contacts or something) that comes up above the other icons (messagiing, email, bluetooth etc etc)
and can you please pass on this icon issue (missing icons in battery)
done a bit of testing.
1. it doesnt matter which browser you use the issue is still there
2. it either a feature of sony trying to block attachments, for the sake of copyright, however i think its more related to point 3
3. it seems to be some kind of permissions issue with messaging service (not necessary the app because it happens on different apps), becuase if you try to "share" the image from say chrome, and then save it as a draft. and then go you go back to the draft, it gives you a permissions error message at the top.
Also resetting phone to defaults doesnt fix it either
so...when will this be fixed?
thanks mate, your super awesome.
lets hope sony fixes this quite soon.
for anyone whos interested
performing a "softwar repair" in xperia companion (as suggested by the wonderfull sony support)
doesnt fix either of the two issues mentioned in this thread.
quite dissapointing that such a high end device has two very small and really not necessary bugs.
come on sony.
