pictures disappear

When taking pictures with the Camera app, ther are stored in the File Commander, folder: Internal Storage/DCIM/100ANDRO.

However, when the phone goes in Sleep mode and I active the phone after that, all the pictures stored in that specific folder have disappeared and I can not find them back in any other folder on the phone. I do not find them back either when connecting my phone to a PC.

However, when i send the picture via fe. What's App to friends, the picture can be found in the folder. Internal Storage/WhatsApp.

But offcourse, i do not send all pictures and hence, I lost all of my holiday pictures...

I have the same problem when fe, changing the language or customising the start screen of the phone: all these settings disappear after the phone goes into sleep mode.

That sounds quite strange. Can't you even find the picture if you open the album app? 

I would suggest that you try to boot your phone into safe mode to see if the problem may be related to any 3rd party app that you have installed in your phone:
