Malfunctions!

I've had my phone for a couple months now and have noticed several malfunctions, some more serious than others. The first was my alarm clock - I use my phone on a daily basis to get up for a work and after a week the option to turn off the alarm wasn't appearing. I tried everything, and the only thing that turned it off short of turning the whole phone off was to open my recent apps and close all. I think this may only be when my phone is plugged in to charge but I haven't tried using the alarm when it's not on charge.

The second thing was Facebook videos. This has been widely experienced and is very annoying, but I've found that if you persevere and keep opening the video it eventually plays.

The third thing is overheating - I know most people experience it when using the camera but mine has never reached the point where it shuts down due to heat (however it has randomly shut itself down once or twice for absolutely no reason). It also doesn't tend to overheat on camera, but when I'm using the sat nav services from Google maps. I'm assuming it's because of the heavy processing power required to use gps for such a length of time, but my phone was at one point too hot to touch. I haven't found a solution to this yet.

The final and most concerning glitch happens randomly and I struggle to get out of it. Its difficult to describe but my screen starts act of its own accord, imagine if I was tapping random places very quickly. It switches between screens uncontrollably and acts as if I've held an app on the home screen and starts rearranging my apps. The only way to stop it is to turn the phone off but when I press the power button, because of the random tapping, the option to shut down disappears very quickly and I have to be really quick to catch it. It's annoying and actually terrifying as it feels like my phone is haunted. The phone isn't particularly hot when it happens, and it's happened both when on charge and when not. I'm starting to think I need to get a replacement model as I feel like this phone is bugged to **bleep**!

Desperate to find someone with similar problems and/or a solution. It was an expensive phone and it's been nothing but a pain in the neck.

Clean the screen? Maybe it's getting a sense of a touch from something? Have you stuck a screen protector on it?

It has a screen protector on and I have cleaned the screen religiously since it first happened, as thats what I thought too.

Even if that is the solution, it's annoying how it picks and chooses when to detect it as a touch!

The screen issue IS dirt and moisture.  I am unable to use the Xperia Z2 during any physical activity that makes me sweat, because even the slightest bit of dirt and moisture on the screen registers as a touch.  I also have a screen protector on mine.

The overheating issue is a known flaw with the phone since before it went on the market.

For Facebook, you have to go in at least once a day and clear data to get videos to work.

Not sure about the alarm clock issue... all I can say on that one is "Welcome to Android"

Yes, I can sympathize with your frustration.  This phone has been a major disappointment.  I should've waited for the G3

I am having a problem with my Z2, it keeps damaging my micro sd card and I need to reformat it and then reload everything back onto it. It only happens when the phone is reset. The problem being about one a week the screen go black and I cant see anything, however when I take a screen shot everything in the background appears to be ok after the reset. Has anyone had any issue like this or know how to spot this happening?

Hi, in the meantime until the black screen problem is resolved i would unmount the SD card before you reset the phone.....have you spoken to Xperia Care or where you purchased the Z2 about your screen?
