How to improve notification & ringtone volume?

Hello people,

I already saw in the forums that several People have the problem that the notification and ringtone volume is Very low, even when all the volumes are on max. And i didn,t see any solution to this problem. I already have the latest firmware version on my Phone, but icant seem to increase the volume.

Do you guys of sony have a solution for this? Don,t say that i'm the only person with this problem, because this entire forum is full of this problem.

Hi, as you mentioned that you have seen/read about several other people having this problem you know that so far no one on the Forum has offered any concrete solution......

The only advice i can offer is to either take the Z2 back to where you purchased it or your local Xperia Care Centre.....explain & demonstrate what the problem is & what you have done to try & remedy the problem.....

If you have already tried the 'usual' software repairs etc then this is the only course i'm afraid....

There are MODs available on the XDA forums, though I'm not sure if they require root. The volume MODs do not require unlocking the bootloader however.

Yeh, there is a mod where the tone/ring etc comes out both speakers.....without glancing back in XDA i'm sure you need to root, dont think this will help with this problem tho.....in time i'm sure this will appear in a software update in the future as it makes sense to use both speakers.

Hello guys,

After a very long search and trying a lot of things, i think i finally found a solution for this annoying problem.

If you notifications & ringtone volume are very low when on max volume, i did the following and it does work:

Go to Settings -> Sound -> Sound Effects

And then you see 2 options: ClearAudio+ and something like volume balance (don't know exactly what it is on an English phone). Make sure all the 2 options are on.

Now turn on your sound and send yourself a text message. The sound is now very loud, the same volume as when you play a notification sound!

Now i finally got rid of this problem!
