How to change default camera application

Hi,

I have a Xperia Neo and have installed Camera Zoom FX.  I'm trying to make it the default camera application that gets launched when pressing the camera hardware key, but it always launches the SE default camera application.  I have checked the option within Camera Zoom FX to set it as the default but this has no effect, and I can't find any other options throughout the phone to change it.  Does anyone have any ideas on how to change the default camera application?

i dont think you can set a shortcut key...

so , you have to launch your camera zoom fx with a app icon..

maybe i'm wrong so wait for any other to reply

or maybe if you use an other launcher like go launcher..

they must have the option of selecting which app will be launched if you press camera key

Thanks for your suggestion.  I've installed GO Launcher but can't find any options to set the default camera button application - looks like I'll just have to use an icon to launch it instead.

Hi, just tap the Camera Zoom FX icon to launch it.

The setting of default is useful when launching it when needed in other apps (you won't see the option to choose which camera apps to use).

PROBLEM SOLVED!

I was also dealing with the same problem - I even emailed the developer, but they didn't get back to me!
CAUTION - ROOT REQUIRED

1) Make Camera Zoom FX the default program in the App's Options

2) Root Your Phone

3) Download Autostarts from Market (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.elsdoerfer.android.autostarts&feature=search_result#?t=W25...)

4) Open Autostarts and wait till it loads, it takes about 5-7 seconds

5) Find "Camera Button Pressed", touch it and there, you have some options:
Camera (the defaul Camera app) and

Camera ZOOM FX

Touch the Camera (default) and choose Disable

6) Exit the program and you're all set!

Just be aware that rooting could void your warranty.

Thanks for the solution, as this is a new phone I think I'll leave it a bit before rooting it, but it's good to know there is a solution out there.

I did it with my xperia L but when i press the hardware button (Camera) Nothing happens 😕 I have the stock google camera ,i want to make that one the default one
