Emoji..help!!

Mornign all

I recevied a nice new phone yesterday - the Z1 compact and I am currently going through the painful process of getting everything running the way I want!

I am having some issues getting emoji set up on the phone.  Can anyone help?

I am software 4.3 currently.

I've been scouring the internet all morning and am none the wiser.  

I would chiefly like to use emoji when using whatsapp.

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

In our Android 4.4 update the default keyboard features Emoji's support.

I'm not sure about Whatsapp (don't use it myself) but some applications have its own "insert Emoji's" key. I know Hangout has.

But in our Android 4.4 update you are able to insert Emoji's in any text field or application using the default keyboard.
