D6603, 6.0.1., Messenger problems - sms delivery reports

Hi guys,

I'm having a strange problem. I updated to Marshmallow yesterday and since I did a factory reset, when I installed google messenger I noticed how it no longer has the option of receiving delivery reports. Is this intentional or is this some strange bug? In the sony messaging app the reports function normally.

How can I fix this, any ideas? Thanks

I agree with @Phy, since it's a third party app, it will be up to the app developer to address this.
