Cracked screen

Dropped my phone and have cracked the screen and touch screen doesn't work any hel.

So my Z2 phone fell approx 50cm onto a wooden floor and the back glass has cracked. I had the phone 1 week.

And now I see its on sale with £70 off.

Feel sick.

Does anyone know how much Sony charge for a repair/replacement to the back?

@var Check out the last few posts.......Xperia Care Centre will have to examine the phone first before giving you a price

Hi @var as far as i'm aware you have to either hand in/send your phone to your local Xperia Care Centre, they inspect it for what damage there is overall & then give you a quote......you then either agree with the quote & authorise the repair but if you choose not to you may have to pay if they have to post it back to you....best to give them a call & confirm all of this tho :smileysmileywink:

I was stood holding my phone and using Facebook. Heard a noise and turned over my phone to find it had just cracked itself. No drops. No heavy usage And it wasn't in a case it literally just commit suicide.

I've had my z2 about a week and I take it out of my pocket the other day and the screen is cracked nothing working. The LCD is fine just the glass. It's had no impact no dropping nothing just in my pocket it's blown my mind how it's happened if I had dropped it or banged it I would hold my hands up but on this occasion I really think warranty should cover this. Anybody else had this miraculous broken glass in there pocket and what did you do to get it fixed I want Sony to do it but I don't want a bill. I've seen vids of oca technology taking digitizer of but then again mist say it's fused and a lcd replacement is the only way. My luck with phones is doing my head in I'm on the brink of getting a Nokia 3510 and have done with it

So after reading this thread I see its a fault of sonys which they won't admit. NICE... So I guess I got to pay for a repair but I want people to share prevention stories now. Will a case stop this? Maybe one that absorbs heat? Any suggestions

All you do is have it replaced i dropped my phone on a night out smashed it completely. Had it replaced the next day for £35

I bought my Sony mobile xperia Z2 n my imei no. Is ... I have serious complaint against this handset n company. I bought this handset of 40,000 and twice this handset has been replaced for disfunctioning... In December. I got it replaced and yesterday it was In my pocket n screen crashed... It was really very annoying... I contacted service centre for display then.again they said for replacement. sir I am a medium class consumer. Already spent so much money on it. Now they want me to pay 50% of the amount of handset more for replacement which is actually not feasible... Spending around so much money ? On a handset? .n if a mobile is in pocket How can it crash? I am really very upset with this handset... N please I just cannot pay any more on this handset...
out of 7 months of my purchase of this mobile, for around 2 months it was lying in service centre.
