Can't edit contacts since last update

Since last software update I still have my contact function and can view them, but not edit anymore.
I did a newstart and tried several applications.
They alway break down as soon as I want to add or edit a contact. What can I do? I essentially need this tool on my phone also for job issues...

@kappismile Did you repair software? Or what does new start mean?

Have you tried settings - apps, look for contacts and clear data?

Is the pen to edit the contact missing? Or is when you press the pen to edit the contact that this occurs? If so, are you receiving any errormessages?

My first recommendation would be to test editing a contact while in safe mode. Also, as @alexdon mentions, have you tried clearing data for the app?
