Hi guys, in new FW (.205) many SXP owner faces rapidly battery drainging problem in stemina mode. here is a solution i found
*switch to only GSM mode
*disable google play store
looks like wakelock do dont work without GSM mode.
Another option is to switch to a UK model so you don't get any updates and you don't need to worry about any issues with new firmware.
"disable google play store"
Come on, if that's a solution, you could even better throw the phone away...
.205 is a real mess for me, It took 2 hrz to reach 55% battery from 34%
I cant sit for hrz to recharge it 100%. even after complete recharge the battery level goes down so fast without use of device... and at level 15% it take only 5 to 6 min use to shut the mobile off...
I have the same problem. When my phone was on build 201, the batt was good. Gotta find a new method to minimize the batt issue.
Switch to GSM Mode?? I don't use my phone for calls/texts only. Wi-Fi is not available in all areas.
Disabale Google Play Store? LOL, you're kidding, right?
i installed a software gfixservices and i m not sure what kind of hack it it but it seems to work for me and battery backup has gained 10 hrs or so over 1 day on normal usage.
I have the same problem, but today it seems to be even worse, the phone even with the 70% of the battery continues to restart.
pls explain how to resolve..also in private.
Sony do something before the 205 I had no problems.
This is a problem with ALL android phones and it's not happening just from .205 on SP, it was on old firmware too although battery drain is slightly faster overall on this firmware.
It is all google/android fault. Terribly optimised for standby.
I have tested on 4 android phones, it's the same on all of them. Restart phone and let standby... all good ~0.5% per hour drainage. Now use play store, standby again... now it's 2-3% per hour.
Restart phone and let standby... back to slow drain. Make a phone call, standby again back to 2-3% per hour.
It is just stupid. How long has android been around and they can't find some way to stop this, I'm surprised more people don't notice how crappily inconsistant android standby is. There is no solution unless you want to handicap your phone or constantly restart during the day.
