sony xperia xa - no modification of the memory card

Hi everyone,

I have xa and irritating problem. Cell phone read the memory card and played... example movies but, when I will watch video, I can't deleted him. I press delete and file still here. what I must to do?

Have you granted the permissions for the file explorer you are using?

I use my google accound on phone.

I haved installed file commander(older) if open the files from memeory card. The new version also not working and other.

 I going to settings - apps - configure apps - app permissions - storage and file commander is on.

Something else, becouse I don't know what to do.

if you are using file commander , I think there is an instruction guide in able to modify contents of the sd card, it shows up when you access the sd card from the app

how about when you use the built in explorer? settings>storage>tap more details>sd card

In file commander I don't have tips. In the new app file manager there are 3 steps but I don't understand this.

From phone : settings - storage - advanced - storage - sd card, I can delete files.

So where are the permissions of sd card? I was looking but I don't found.

For example, go under settings - apps, look for the file explorer you are using, tap on it and go under permissions tab. Make sure it has storage access.

@galizney" there are numerous and better alternatives to file commander , you can try to search on google play store for some more "user friendly" apps. you can try to disable or if possible uninstall file commander on your device to free up some space for the new apps
