My SONY Bravia KDL-46EX505 does not update its firmware although the automatic update feature is enabled. I checked the latest firmware version on WEB site and clearly my current firmware is an older one. I definitely did an update before so I know it somewhat works. However what nags me, if I am not mistaken, I did my very first update (like a year ago or so) manually- I remember manually forcing for an update. I was under the impression that as well as auto update, there was also a manual "update now" type of thing in the menu. However I searched million times and I could not find such a thing. In the manual it says, it should do the update when TV is in standby mode- clearly it is in standby mode when I go to bed at night or all day long when I am at work.

By the way internet connection works all right- I can connect to youtube etc.

Any ideas why this feature does not work at all?
