Merry xmas chums

i am trying to update said xb43 firmware. 

the unit has been on ac for 12 hours plus,  says 5hr charge so expect it to be fully charged. 

however on going into music centre to update frim  3500 to 3700 its will not commence due to batt less than 50 %. 

might i have a doggy batt thats been sitting in cold warehouse to long before shipped to a loving customer?

Hello @brotherduck,

after a firmware update it is recommended to reset the whole device since this can cause the battery level to be indicated at wrong levels otherwise.

update on this is is that the power unit was not charging the speaker.  

change of power lead allowed unit to charge and updated firmware fine once it recognised power source.
