Hi. I’ve had my Walkman since Christmas using it mainly Bluetooth connected to either a Sonos move or WH1000-MX3 headphones, but the sound will randomly cut for a second. It is usually every 10-12 minutes, but no notification on the screen, just a chime when on headphones. Firmware is updated, tried a device reset, tried all of the Bluetooth settings, no change. Even turned off all notifications and uninstalled apps. Have tried using the headphones wired and that seemed to stop so pretty sure it’s a Bluetooth issue. Sony advised sending the unit for repair, but was wondering if anyone else had had the same issue.
thanks in advance, James
Hi,
Can you please check if the BT connection of the Walkman is set to "Quality"?
If so, please change to "Stebility" and try again.
Cheers
Peter
Hi Peter, thanks for getting back to me. Yes I tried all of the Bluetooth output settings. It is currently set to SBC connection pref. with no real change. The device is also right next to the speaker when it happens.
cheers,
james
@Oliveandmabel I'd say have it inspected as recommended by Sony since the issue happens with 2 different devices and no settings affect it in any way.
Hi there, thanks for the reply. Yes, I’ve already tried a factory reset. Weirdly it seemed ok for about 2 hours, then back to as it was.
I’ll get it shipped back to Sony for inspection.
thanks,
james
Had the same issues...
Updated both firmwares and it helped...
altho' i'm having the issue that i can't set the volume to a BT transmitter the one day and the other day it works fine... it's indeed a bit of a pain in the ass right ? 😕
Yeah a bit......
I’ll send it for repair this week, and see what comes back. I’ll post anything useful up here 👍🏻
