Hello people, was replacing the hazard switch in my Ford Focus and had to remove my CDX-DAB6650 head unit, when I was re-installing it I stupidly plugged in one of the connectors the wrong way round and 'pop' went the head unit, a sulphur burning smell from it and deadsville.. I've opened it up and can't find anything obvious to replace (component wise).. any clues?
Many thanks

Hi,
Forgive me if I'm suggesting something you've already tried, but have you checked the blade fuse on the back of the unit? - you will probably have to remove the oblong plug from the back of your unit to access the fuse. The sulphur smell sounds a bit worrying though, and I suspect that even if this fuse has blown (it will be obvious as you can see if the wire inside has burned out through the transparent plastic casing of the fuse), and you replace it there still might not be any joy - a trip to a friendly car radio specialist shop that has a service department would be the way I'd go I think.
Hope you get it sorted, the 6650 is a really nice unit.
