I bought a bluetooth adaptor for the 3.5mm headphone output of my television so as to pair the WH-1000XM4 to it. It's a Trond BT 5.0 adaptor and it seems to work well, except for one thing: for some reason the volume control on the headphones (swiping on the side of the headphones) will not work. This is true whether or not the TV sound output itself is muted. The volume control for the TV on its remote control has no effect on the volume coming through the headphones. There are volume buttons on the BT adaptor, but these don't work either. Does anyone know why this might be and how I can solve the problem?
Thanks and best wishes
I believe either the TV doesn't support volume controls over the 3.5mm connection, or the adaptor doesn't.
Have you tried using different headphones or different audio source (instead of the TV)?
