Hi, is anyone using a docking station with the VAIO VGN FS315B (about 4 years old but stil in good nick). Do you know which docking station is compatible and where I can get one?
many thanks, smofya
Hi smofya,
welcome to Club VAIO..
I believe the docking station compatible with the FS series is a VGP-PRFS1, a search on google may help you locate one..
Hi Thalamus. Thanks! I thought it was, but when i went too a retailer site to buy, the FS315B was not listed. There were many FS models listed there as compatible.
Any ideas?

I think it fits ALL FS-Series Vaios except the VGN-FS215Z.
Have you looked here?

Quite honestly the additional connectivity is not great:
* 1 x LAN Port (You have one already)
* 1 x VGA Port (You have one already)
* 1 x Parallel/Printer Port
* 2 x Hi-Speed USB
* 1 x DC-Input (You have one already)
The VGN-FS215Z came with the AV Entertainment Docking Station interface which includes:
* 1 x DC in,
* 1 x VGA,
* 4 x USB 2.0 type A,
* 1 x headphone/speaker jack,
* 1 x LAN Port,
Analogue TV VHF/UHF,
* 1 xComposite Audio In jack,
* 1 x S Video in,
* 1 x Composite Video in,
* 1 x Optical out port
I'm not sure of the model number but these are difficult to find.

Thanks Thalamus,
Lack of extra connectivity is not too much of a problem for me. I want the docking station because the power connection on the laptop is loose and keeps disconnecting.
But I'll have a look at the VGP PRFS10V as well.
many thanks, smofya
You're welcome..
