Hi,
Hi, I am having trouble accessing two websites(see below) via wireless and hardwired connection when using Firefox 3.0.10 and IE7. The websites are http://www.cineworld.co.uk and http://www.rapidshare.com
I have noticed the problem on 06/06/09. The OS i am using is Vista Home Premium 32bit.
I have contacted Mozilla but I got no help from them. The steps provided by my ISP I have already done prior such as setting up static IP's, checking DNS servers in the laptop and router
I was able to access the site from a different laptop in the house which has Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit and was able to load the site successfully from IE7 and Firefox browser. I even tried Opera browser and the issue still persists. Also I have a PC which has XP with SP2 and the site worked fine.
I even turned off my router and the wireless feature on my laptop. I then removed the network from the "Manage Wireless Connection" part so the laptop could find the access point again when I turn my router on again and the wireless card. The issue still there.
I have done a full system AntiVirus scan and Spyware scan and no threats have been found. Java and Flash are up to date.
I ran the command ipconfig /flushdns and that hasnt solved the issue.
The firewall I am using is Windows Firewall only on my laptop and PC(which as XP SP2). The issue is only occurring with 2 sites as I mentioned. Everything else is fine so far.
I can ping to the site and tracert successfully. I tried google IP address 74.125.77.104 and that loaded fine in all browsers even using the standard URL. But using the cineworld Ip address and rapidshare I couldnt access it. Normal URL wouldnt work either.
I think my IP address is blocked? or a file is corrupt or Windows have cached an unsuccessful DNS lookup attempt?
My ISP keeps telling me to clear the cache! I have done this god knows how many times!
Please could any investigate this further for me please? It would be much appreciated!
