Hi All,
The graphics card Nvidia GeForce Go 7400 in my VGN-FE21B has failed. During bootup as soon as Graphics Card Driver (which was supplied originally with the VAIO) is loaded the system stops and reboots after a few seconds.
It work in the safe mode when the Graphics card driver is not installed.
Tried installing other drivers but they do not match. Finally some HP Laptop driver was accepted and the card started working .
But after about a month even this driver stopped working and the situation became the same.
Does anyone have any idea on this. Does anyone have the original graphics card rom ? Is it possible for you to retrieve it.
I have tried system restore and everything.
Sony Repair Center people say that they need to replace the Motherboard !! which will cost a sum of 400 £ which simply does not make sense.
Any pointer are welcome.
