I'm so tired of the problems with drivers for my computer. I've had problems ever since I made the choice to upgrade the bundled XP media center to Vista. I don't know how much time I've put in searching the internet for drivers and solutions...
The good thing with all the problems is that I bought a Macbook pro instead, best buy ever...
The bad thing is that I decided to keep the Vaio and make the best out of it.
I've spent several hours to find out what Win7 want from me. I've installed several different drivers that I found, but nothing works for:
"Mass Storage Controller" - Probably the Card Reader
"Multimedia Controller" - With all certaincy(?) the Tv Tuner Card (AVerMedia Hybrid M115)
"*Unknown Device" x 2 - As unknown for me as for the system...
Please help! Don't want to give up on this big black bastard yet.. I've kinda liked it until now...
No answers? No tips?
If you look here: -
http://www.vaio-link.com/os/vista/64bit/
you will find all the Sony released 64-bit drivers. There is one for the Texas Instruments Card Reader in your model (EP0000140007.zip). There is also an AverMedia TV driver (EP0000140224.zip).
You will not find drivers listed for the AR21S - the oldest AR quoted is the AR31S - all you can do is try these.
