Hi,
My laptop screen went completely dark but when i start the laptop i can hear windows starting.
So, i took my laptop to 6 different computer repair shops, bought 3 brand new screens and inverter tried all of them but none worked. Surprisingly none of the computer repair guys can work out what is wrong with it. finally sent it to sony service in California and they said they need to replace the whole motherboard for 600 US dollars so thats like 350 pounds.
it doesn't make any sense though windows starts so the computer/motherboard is fine but there is no visual on screen.
I spent over 2000 pounds for this laptop, still has great features on board like blu-ray drive, tv tuner and awesome sound card. but in the US laptops are so cheap for 800 dollars i can get a higher specs laptop (but without bluray, tv tuner and digital sound), so should i get a new one or get my old one repaired?
Any advice would be much appreciated,
Cheers
Hi,
I seem to have the same problems with my Sony Vaio.
I'm new to the club so excuse me if I'm too direct. I'm in search of a Sony Vaio motherboard for the model VGN-TH1HP. The display doesn't show anything and stays black. I tried an external monitor but without any positive result.
Can you help me with this issue.
Kind regards.
