VGN-21XY/Q - Best Laptop Ever!

Hi all,

Today I took delivery of what must be the cheapest VGN-21XY/Q purchased in the UK (eBay)....I couldn't be happier with it

I've had a chance to put it through it's paces tonight - it's superb....simply superb!

This is by far the best laptop I've ever owned (and there have been many) - the screen is simply outstanding! You really need to see the vibrancy and clarity of the "LCD with RGB 3chip LED technology" screen in person - reading glowing reviews in the PC mags simply doesn't do it justice. I've been using top quality monitors for CAD over the years but this Vaio RGB screen is astonishing - truly amazing colour reproduction and sharpness. The machine's performance is even greater than I was expecting - even on a top $ laptop - it even makes Vista a joy to use (although I've already registered for the Windows 7 update on the Sony website).

I had heard that Sony bundled a load of useless bloatware with their machines but, having taken a look at what's installed, I wouldn't remove any of it. Very useful utilities and progs although I could live without the trialware McAfee.

If anyone is considering purchasing one of these expensive Vaio models, but is apprehensive about spending so much dosh on a laptop, have no doubt - you get what you pay for! £2,599 (RRP) is a huge amount of cash for a laptop - but you won't be disappointed - especially if you can pick one up for less that £2k like me
