VGC LT1M 3 beeps

hi there,

Big problems here, it started with some crashes and then i reinstalled using the recovery disks, all went well until yesterday, the machine when i power up gave 3 beeps 1 long one then 2 shorter ones and just a blank screen, think it might be the graphics card, how might I change this if this is right?

Can not use it at all...any ideas?

Can you see the Vaio logo when you first turn it on? If so try starting in Safe Mode which will use a default 640 X 480 VGA display. To enter Safe Mode tap F8 repeatedly when you see the Vaio splash screen and choose safe mode.

Safe Mode will allow you to look into the Event Viewer for errors on boot.

When in Safe mode you probably need to reinstall the Graphics Driver as it sounds like this may have become corrupt.
