VAIO Network media receiver

I have a VAIO network media receiver (VGP-MR200U)
It used to work fine with my VAIO desktop pc.
Hoiwever, since reformatting my Desktop PC (with the original sony disks)and installing norton internet security 2009, when I switch it on, it can see the desktop pc as an "inteegrated server" (so i guess the firewall is configured ok as it can see the PC) but when I try to connect, after a long delay on the "connecting to selected server" screen, get the message "Cannot connect to the serverI . please check network settings on the server"

What do I do? please help!

Hi halibuts,

Have you tried going to: Start -> All Programs -> Vaio Media -> Vaio Media Setup and running the Setup Wizard?

Also try: Start -> All Programs -> Vaio Media -> Server Administration -> Vaio Media Console -> Access Control Settings to make sure the MR200 is registered on the network.

Hya Blencogo,
Thanks for your reply.
I've done both of the things you suggested. The reciever is set up and registered. The Vaio PC can be seen on the tv screen as a server. There is definately communication between the PC and the reciever. It's just when trying to connect that the error appears.
