Hi, I have a Sony Vaio FW series laptop running Vista Home Premium. I am trying to create a recovery disc using the software that came with the Laptop (Vaio recovery center) I enter the recovery center then I click 'Create recovery discs' then 'Start' then I get the screen which tells me when recovery discs are needed and it says to click next to create the recovery disc but there is no next to click on the window and there is no option to make the window any bigger or resize it.
Hi Goit,
welcome to Club VAIO..
To possible solutions..
1, have you tried installing the VAIO Recovery Center Update Program -1.3.6.200903270, use the following link and select your model from the drop down list: Updates
Or
2, Not exactly ideal but have you tried clicking on the Create Recovery Disc window and pressing the Tab key, this should allow you to move through the selectable options.
Hopefully by pressing the Tab key you can select the Next button (although you wont be able to tell that the buttons selected, as you can't see it..) and then press enter, this may start the Disc creation process..
Thank you very much for your help.
I tried to update the software using your link but my model number was not on the list so I used the tab method and I am in the process of making the recovery discs now(thank you)
for anyone who has the same problem you have to press tab once(then enter) on the first screen then tab twice(then enter) on the next screen.
Thanks again for your help
I tried to update the software using your link but my model number was not on the list![]()
