Hello,
I am having problems with my VGN-NS10E:
the internet connection icon on the task bar shows a "red cross" as if is not connected although I am able to use the internet;
when accepting a video call on MSN the computer gets blocked;
when trying to start the assistant task manager, nothing happens;
when shutting down it appears "logging off" on the screen and it does not turn off;
when turning on instead of appearing the desktop, it remains a black screen;
I have checked the anti-virus and everything is ok.
I can access many websites but when trying www.vaio-link,com it gets blocked, so I could not ask help via web.
I bought in december 2008 and I went to the Sony Store where I've bought and they told me to call the number 01-4073040 for technical support in Dublin. After typing my Serial number during the call, it says my 1 year has expired (I bought it 7 months ago)and that I should ask for help on the website www.vaio-link.com, but I can't connect to this website as well, so where do I ask for help?

Check that your contact details are correct here: - My Profile
Just confirm that they are OK back here and I will then send a message to Sony Support asking them to contact you using those details. It will be weekdays in office hours.
It sounds like you have multiple problems and I expect Sony Support to ask you to carry out a full System Recovery to reset your Vaio back to its original condition so you can start again. If you have any important files, I suggest to back them up just in case!!
