sony wireless switch settings app broken after IE8 upgrade

I've a windows XP now with IE8 and the wireless switcher doesn't work anymore because 2 dlls are missing wer.dll and ieshims.dll the funky part is that there is no way (that i know) to re enable the bluetooth antena again if i cannot start that damn application, anyone knows how to fix it?

Hi pmml and welcome.

There are numerous reports on the web of problems with wireless connection after installing IE8. I suggest that you uninstall 8 and then download and install 7. Below is a link on how to uninstall 8.

You may possibly then need to reinstall some Sony drivers/utilities if this is not an instant fix...
