I've sented my notebook in for repair and forgot to take out my Memory Stick Duo of 2GB, They've now repaired it and returned it without my MSD. I tried to call them to inquire about this matter but thet said they did not notice it.
What steps do you recommend? I never expected SONY employees would steal...
You will need evidences, you have to show them, that the Stick was inside when you sent your Notebook to SONY.
Everybody could say he had something inside the Notebook when it was sent .
Unfortunately I think you've had it. I doubt that they will admit there was a memory stick in it simply because they won't want to admit that a member of staff may have 'borrowed' it after they have told you they didn't notice one in it.
I think Jumpy might be right.
You could try that old trick, "I'll leave the room, you put the MS on the table and no more questions asked"
I've called them again about this matter.
They replied: "This is big repair center and we don't cover accossories here since they are not covered by your notebook warrenty."
How vague can you be?
No use in futher bothering them because they simply won't admit the fact they got the possibilty there might be some employees doing things that they shouldn't do.
But my 100 euro 2gb MS duo is gone....
I was stupid for not taking the stick out, I must admit, I just never expected this would happen....
Let this be a lesson for all fellow Notebook anc PC owners:
CHECK EVERYTHING, DONT SENT THINGS IN THAT COULD BE "BORROWED" BY A SONY EMPLOYEE...!
I'm gonna have beer now......
Hi Foxhound,
Have you got a record of the Memory Stick model name and serial number, you could report it stolen missing to Sony..
I think that's pretty bad practice.
You could contact the police, but what would it reep I have no idea.
