flash drive

Thisisnt actually anything to do with a sony computer. But recently i had my flash drive in a computer. It was plugged in close to the floor. I stupidly stepped forward and stood on it. It bent and the casing fell off. I have tried conecting it to a computer but it doesent work. The LED occasionally flickers when you bend it but thats it. All my business studies coursework was on there and i hadn't backed up the data. is there any way which i can fix orsimply retrieve data from it??

Hi Thundybird,

All I can suggest is that you try and replace the casing, and place the drive into a usb hub, therefore not damaging your actual PC USB port and gently bend it as straight as possible until you can access the drive, it may be easier if someone holds the drive whist you try and acces the contents..

This did work on a flash drives and enabled me to save my childs school work...:smileyhappy:

Always back up flash drives as they can be lost, stolen, broken, washed in the washing machine (yes I've heard of it!) and other bad stuff
