Hi lads.. just switched on my vaio.. after not using for while.. and notice half the letters on the keyboard are not working??? letters N,H, Y, G.. any ideas why??? also last person knocked off my scrolling mouse pad!! and miss that very much.. how do I get it back please. Thanks.

It sounds like the keyboard is faulty or the cable from the keyboard to the motherboard has poor contacts. You will need someone to look inside to find the cause. Can you borrow an external USB keyboard and check that works OK?
If you can give us your Vaio Model, someone can give advice on your Touchpad. It may, of course be linked to the keybord problem.
