After a catastrophic HDD failure, I am trying to restore my Vaio W1/G. I have the Original System Recovery Disc and have successfully restored the Windows XP Home System OK, but I don't have the Applications Disc (Gigapocket, Click to DVD, etc). My efforts to obtain this from Sony have, to date, proved rather fruitless - after explaining that I had the Systems Recovery Disc, I was advised that I would need to purchase the Recovery Disc SET, which I did, but when this arrived it contained only the single Systems Recovery Disc, which I already had. Anyone know how I can obtain the Applications Disc for this machine please? Any ideas would be most welcome

Without any Applications. my Sony computer continues to be a rather sad useless ornament, so I am still desperate for help in obtaining the Applications Recovery Disc for my PCV-W1/G.
Since my initial enquiry to Sony on 25th May, followed by numerous emails, lengthy international telephone calls and the expensive purchase of what was to be the correct Recovery Disc Set, Sony Customer Service have now provided me with TWO copies of the Systems Recovery Disc (which I had repeatedly explained that I already had and successfully used) - but not a whiff of the Applications Recovery Disc!
The Systems Recovery Disc that I have is Part Number 4-679-746-11. If anyone is able to tell me the Part Number of the Applications Recovery Disc, it might help with my continuing communications with Sony Customer Service.
Any help very much appreciated
