Hi shathomp6,
The MultiMedia controller will be the AverMedia Hybrid TV Tuner Card M115S. Sony has not released Windows 7 drivers for this but the original Vista driver may work.

The same applies to the camera driver – try the original Vista driver.

I think you are quoting an invalid Vaio model. It looks like you are quoting the chassis type which can be shared by several Vaio models.
Have a look on the screen surround, or look in Control Panel -> Vaio Control Center for the correct model.
I guess it will be something like VGC-LTxxx.

You have the NVIDIA® GeForce® 8400M GT GPU.
Unfortunately, Sony do not appear to support Windows 7 on your model. You can find the Vista drivers here: -
http://support.vaio.sony.eu/computing/vaio/downloads/updates/index.aspx?l=en_GB&m=VGC-LT2S
Most of these will work with Windows 7 but the Graphics Driver may not work.
If you cannot find a driver, you may have to try a Windows 7 nVidia driver from another Vaio model.
You can try the nVidia driver Ver 8.15.11.8640_0910130 released for Windows 7 for the Vaio 9600M GT in the AW21S. I have not tried it, so it is at your own risk. You can download both 32-bit and 64-bit versions from here: -

Apologies for the late reply as I have been rather ill and only just now back on my feet.
Many many thanks for the time you took to reply to my problem. I hit very lucky and a friend managed to sort it remotely using Team Viewer6.
I believe your reply helped him a lot and I'm pleased to say my pc is back up and running again.
You're doing a great job - please keep up the good work (helping pc numpties like me).

Hi
I too own the same PC...VGC-LT2S...I too installed Windows 7...I too have a problem...
I now need Sony Vaio driver/s for Multimedia controller, or anything that would do the same job please.
The built-in webcam is dormant amongst other media headaches...
TIA
