New VI - help!

Hi. Can someone help me.? I have just (Monday this week) had my new PCV V1 delivered , bought through Dabs.com. I have set it up and all went well, put on MS Office and then left it for a couple of days while i was away. I now come to turn it on and it gets stuck with a black screen and white type which starts Award Medallion BIOS v6.0 and ends with Detecting Secondary Slave ......None.

I turn it off and repeat - same result.

Grateful for some advice .........

Detecting Secondary Slave means that it's trying to find a secondary device on your computer. For instance if you have 2 hard drives then one is the Primary Master and one is the Secondary Slave. Same goes for CD/DVD drives.

Do you have two devices like that? Or do you just have one hard drive and one CD drive or similar.

If you have two, then a cable has possibly come loose inside, if you know what you're doing open it up, (be careful not to touch anything except the cables) and make sure all the cables are pushed in properly). If not then you may have a faulty drive, give Sony a call.

If you have ONE drive then somehow the BIOS has become improperly set up. This is much easier to fix but I'd have to look up exactly how to change it.
