Is my VAIO capable of upgrade to Windows Vista 64 BIT?

Hi ALL

I was thinking about upgrading my Sony VAIO VGC-LT1M to Windows Vista 64 BIT Edition from Windows Vista 32 BIT Edition.

The Performance Information and Tools part of the Control Panel tells me YES my system is 64-bit capable.

I wanted to know if all the components of the VGC-LT1M system are 64-bit compatible in terms of hardware and device drivers? Microsoft says that even if the Processor is 64 BIT the components may not be capable.

Hi there and welcome to Club Vaio
Yes you could run 64 bit Vista but I think you may struggle
for drivers.
As far as I know there is still little x64 software

Thanks for the reply but this is kind of what I already knew. It may be difficult to find drivers, but do they exist.

Surely someone from Sony would be able to tell me this as they put the VGC-LT1M together in the first place? Or do I have to ring up their Technical Support line to get an answer rather than find one on here?
