InterVideo WinDVD BD for VAIO

Hi,
I have a Sony VAIO VGN-AR51M and it plays most bluray dvds. When i load up WinDVD BD it comes up with the message 'The AACS Key has expired. You may not be able to play back some titles. Press "Yes" to update.' If i press yes it signs me into to correl and comes up with an error message saying 'Error Code: R03-Explanation:Cannot find matching AACS Key or patch.' If i press no to the update it lets me play most movies such as 'BLACK HAWK DOWN' AND '300' but wont let me play a new dvd (Green street 2) and says 'WinDVD stops plaback because of AACS error check' and goes to a blank screen. I have downloaded all available updates from Sony.
Please can anyone help? Greatly appreciated.
Please can nobody tell me to by other software.Thank you.

In the meantime why not use VLC media player from Videolan or Cyberlink PowerDVD?

I know its annoying when supplied software doesn't do what it should, but I ditched WinDVD
after being able to have a bath, make a coffee than go out clubbing for the night
while the DVD loaded in WinDVD.

thanks for the reply. i have already used all the trials available and i am still in ongoing contact with sony support since christmas but still no solution. however i have been told that my problem is 'unique' and they are trying to make an update to solve the problem. if this is the case why cant they just replace my laptop with one with software that actually works. quite frankly i dont see it right that they should sell laptops claiming it can play bluray when really it cant whereas other manufacturers can produce laptops with working software.

Still waiting on a proper long time solution to my problem, but for the time being i will try your first suggestion as i have already tried the second. Thanks for your help, Mark.

Sorry I don't have a solution Mark but VLC is free and extremely good at playing anything you can throw at it apart from Realmedia files I think.

ok so this topis looks about finished but i thought i would chip in...

I have updated to Windows 7 on my VGN-FZ38M and all drivers are fine and this is the process I used after reading around to install windvd bd. I am still unable to play blu-ray films and i dont get any mention or messages of updating the ACCS keys and i have added corel.com to the trusted sites in IE8 and cleared cookies and history and temp files.

1. Install the version of windvd bd from recovery drive
2. Reboot
3. Download and install update to version 8.0 - 8.0.9.670_2
4. Reboot
5. Put Blu Ray film in drive, windvd bd loads and then nothing happens (waited an hour in case)
6. Download and install update to version 8.0.9.754
7. Reboot
8. Do the same as part 5

I have a corel account and I managed to get this to work for vista but im having no joy now.

Any ideas, I have even turned windows firewall off and added windvd bd to my exceptions list.

WOW after many months of sitting here getting frustrated, the software finaaly decided to work and actually updated. Didn't do anything different, just tried it incase and it worked. The only thing that had changed between that and the last time i had used it was by stting the date back to a previous year. Maybe this might have done it i don't know.

But anyway solved

Thanks everyone.
