Hi,
I have a Sony VAIO VGN-AR51M and it plays most bluray dvds. When i load up WinDVD BD it comes up with the message 'The AACS Key has expired. You may not be able to play back some titles. Press "Yes" to update.' If i press yes it signs me into to correl and comes up with an error message saying 'Error Code: R03-Explanation:Cannot find matching AACS Key or patch.' If i press no to the update it lets me play most movies such as 'BLACK HAWK DOWN' AND '300' but wont let me play a new dvd (Green street 2) and says 'WinDVD stops plaback because of AACS error check' and goes to a blank screen. I have downloaded all available updates from Sony.
Please can anyone help? Greatly appreciated.
Please can nobody tell me to by other software.Thank you.
Thanks alot you two. What a surprise this software plays the disc fine and in high quality
I am very dissapointed in Sony's updating but i did have to select 'allow connection when certification is invalid'
Could this be the reason? Does WinDVD BD for VAIO have this option?
Thanks for your help, Mark.
I have received a message from Donovan at Sony and he has said he is updating my case to level 2. Hopefully this will result in a solution
For the time bieng though i have got a 30 day trial of CyberLink PowerDVD 9 which works fine  I may have to invest in to a software that updates and can play new dvd's
Regards, Mark.
Hi Mark
"""but i did have to select 'allow connection when certification is invalid' confused
Could this be the reason? Does WinDVD BD for VAIO have this option?""
Sorry for the delay in responding. I dont understand what you mean by this sorry.
Donovan has just replied to my case again with the same response again without obvioulsy reading me email properly, ie changing the language settings in control panel. Of course this hasnt worked. At least you seem to be getting somewhere now. Let me know how it goes.
Regards
Simon
Hi Simon
Still no solution for my problem. They don't even know what error R03 is at Correl and well for Sony... they just hav'nt replied. To your query of """but i did have to select 'allow connection when certification is invalid' confused""" is that it was on the settings on CyberLink PowerDVD 9 Trial on the Bluray tab. Anyway i have now had to download the trial for TotalMedia Theater 3 which works fine as the other ran out
Any body got a solution yet??
Cumon Sony hurry up with an answer.
I see a version 8.0.9.745 dated 19 March 2009 is available in the US.
I have escalated this to Sony.

Hi Blencogo,
Thanks for your quick response
Will it be possible for me to download this for my laptop???
Hi Mark,
I don't know if it is possible to install.
I would probably wait and see if I get a response from Sony Europe about an official update.
Hi,
Just wondering whether you had heard anything from Sony yet Blencogo?
Yes Mark,
An update is being prepared by Sony and will hopefully be released over the next week.
I agree this seems a month late as another new version is due in July.
:smileythinking:
Thanks Blencogo,
:smileythinking: i wonder why it has taken this long?
Anyway for some strange reason for the first time in about 2 months i tried playing a bluray disc again using WinDVD BD for VAIO as all my trials had run out, and for some strange reason, for the first time ever it actually said it is updating
Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be doing anything When i sign into corel it just says Key downloading: Download of the authentication key will begin shortly. Please keep this window open until your download completes. When i click play on the software it says ' The AACS Key is updating. Please do not close the application until the update process has finished.'
Any help? By the way it has been a good 15 minutes.
