Error in Hardware Monitor

I fixed the error with the MD Drive!
But now there is a new error!!
By restarting the PC or booting it, the SONY logo is shown! after that the error is there!

error in hardware monitor detected!

but what the **** does that mean!?????

Have you had a look in the BIOS if you can stop the MD?

If you dismantled the computer then I would check to make sure that all of the connectors are inserted correctly. This sounds like the computer is damaged or incorrectly assembled.

ok - sounds normal, rob. but yo got an idea where the damage could be or which connector could be wrong??

when i send my pc to vaio link, how long do ya think, that wil take??
and do i get MY PC back or a new one?? 'cos i have another sound card inserted and i don't want my data's to be lost!![/img]

It could be vitually any connector.

If you send the computer back to Vaio-Link then you should make sure everything you have installed is removed. You will most likely get your own computer back unless they consider it irrepairable.

You should also do a backup if you have access to another computer. Vaio-Link will probably restore the computer to it's original shiipped state.

If you try to claim under warranty then they will charge you if they consider that you have interfered with the computer.

No, you have to send it ALL in.

Remove the sound card that you have installed. Hope you get it sorted out.
