Dual external monitors on Laptop + port replicator

Hi I have a Sony A397XP laptop. I have been running two monitors ie, the laptop screen and an external. I have recently bought a port replicator and this has a VGA output as well as a DVI-D output. Is it possible to switch off the laptop screen and run two external monitors ?

Hi swisstonyswiss.

Unfortunately with the port replicator for your model you can only output to ONE of the monitor ports. It is either VGA OR DVI but not both.

If you want to output to 2 monitors you will need something like this:
