Double Lamp Technology

Hi does anyone know if the Sony Vaio FW21M has Double Lamp Technology as I am getting mixed views on this. I have checked with Sony post sales support and they say it does as do my local Sony Store. also on the computer to the left of the mouse pad the sticker reads as followes > 16.4 x black LCD with Double Lamp Technology and 100% colour fidelity
so this sugests it does have it.

However according to the Sony website it does not come with this facility, also when I have the computer by the side of my other Laptop which is a Vaio FW11 the brightness and clarity is not as good. will be grateful if anyone can help.

you're not troubling me, feel free to ask away..

In the FW11 series the FW11S has a 1600x900 16.4" X-black LCD with double lamp technology, so the stickers are correct.

According to the FW11 specifications the FW11S has a 1600x900 16.4" X-black LCD with double lamp technology, however the FW11M has a 1600x900 16.4" X-black LCD with a single lamp.

As I have mentioned earlier the double lamp is, as far as I am aware, only used on the FW21Z in the FW21 series as this has the Full HD 1920x1080 16.4" X-black LCD..
