Hi,
I have a sony vaio PCG-GRT716S with a graphic card, NVIDIA GeFORCE FX 5600. Recently , it's appeared suddenly a BSOD. After each starting, nothing or a degraded display. Now the display is messed up. I've reinstall XP with the recovery cd, but always the same trouble. I've Upgraded it with XP pro but now it has disabled the graphic card and I can but normally but with a degraded display. When I enabled the graphic card by installing the right driver supplied by sony vaio, I have a bsod and after a reboot in nsession, I have as much under the bios that under windows a degraded display messed. In the peripeheral list , the graphic controler is not installed correctly. I 've upgraded the bios, but without success. I've applied the ultimate nividia detonator driver without success the display is parazited. Strange thing in the peripherals list, I haven't the monitor LCD and I can not install it because I just have the driver files, but not an application that install it ,automatically. In short it's the total.
Thanks in advance for your help, Mo
This should be in notebooks really ...
Does the same thing happen when you use safe mode?
Yes, the display is parazited as much under bios that under windows, in fact , permanently.
and in safe mode of sure
I would check the physical connection to the LCD.
