Changing LCD Display settings colour, contrast etc

Hi

New here so hello.

My screen display is poor IMO I assume I need to adjust the display settings? I have changed the brightness but its made little difference, when I view photos the quality is poor compared to my PS3. It’s too bright and makes my eyes bleed  , looks washed and faded if you know what I mean?
So I have a couple of questions
1)Is this normal? I have factory settings I assume as never touched the settings.
2)How do you adjust the settings? Where are they located and how do you adjust?
3)Can someone recommend the best settings?

Many thanks in advance.

Hi STONEISLAND2 and welcome to the forum.

It would have helped if you had given your model number...

However in the hope that it is a recent one and that you have the NVIDIA chip – right click anywhere on the desktop and select NVIDIA Control Panel. Under Display > Adjust desktop color settings experiment with the various options....

I am not familiar with the ATI Mobility Radeon HD4570 card so hopefully someone that is will be along shortly.

In the meantime do you not have options for settings under the Advanced options in Display Settings?
